How do I apply?

Organisations or participants seeking to undertake this course should telephone or email staff listed within [Contact Us] to discuss their specific requirements. All applicants must submit their resume and complete an enrolment and fees form before the enrolment process is complete.

What are the fees and charges?

The program price includes:

  • All course texts, four in total
  • Course notes
  • Carry bag
  • Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on workshop days
  • Graduation ceremony

Fees are payable over a six month period and payment plans are in place where participants can choose to receive 1, 2 or 4 invoices.

How will I be assessed?

Fast>>Track is competency based training, that is concerned with assisting people to gain specific competencies relevant to the purpose of their course of study. Therefore, a participant will be assessed by performing set tasks at specified standards, under prescribed conditions. Set assessment tasks are the basis of the assessment and a 20 minute presentation.

There is no pass or fail within competency based training. If necessary, each participant is allowed several attempts at an assignment, and is guided by the assessor in order to be deemed competent.

Successful completion of the program also requires

  • Attendance at all workshops
  • Five assessment tasks following workshop topics
    (5 essays of approximately 2500 words each)
  • Major project comprising: 20 minute presentation, 5000 word report

What about Recognition of Prior Learning?

If what you have learned at work, from other courses, from life experience or training provided at work is relevant to this course, you may be entitled to gain subject credits or exemptions. The University is obliged to recognise the AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other registered training organisations. How much time will I need to commit?

Over the Fast>>Tracked six month period you will be required to

  • attend a total of 11 days of interactive workshops
  • undertake guided reading as preparation for each workshop of approximately 5 hours per fortnight
  • complete five assessment tasks following workshop topics
    (5 essays of approximately 2500 words each,) of approximately 5 hours per assignment
  • Major project consisting of a 5000 word essay and 20 minute presentation

Total hourly commitment for the program outside face-to-face contact is approximately 100 hours; this includes pre-reading and assignment writing.

Does the School of Business hold Fast>>Track information sessions?

You are welcome to call us at any time to discuss the suitability of the Fast>>Track program to your needs, and we are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. However, we do not hold information sessions.
