Accelerated apprenticeships: Apprentice, employer and teaching staff
perceptions
This research examined recent pilots of accelerated
apprenticeships in the automotive industry in Queensland. Interviews
with apprentices, employers and teachers showed that the traditional
model is still well regarded. It is not failing, but does require
evolutionary change.

Apprenticeship Expo 2008 University of Ballarat Campuses
Once again hundreds of students participated in a two day expo that
exposed
secondary school students to a large variety of industries and
occupations and allowed them to experience first hand what industry and
the VET sector
involves.
The parent information night again proved to be
a success with input from employers, industry representatives, and experts
that answered questions regarding Apprenticeships, information about
what employers are looking for in potential employees and pathways into
Apprenticeships. 85 parents in attendance.
