Rowena Coutts

Vice President (Corporate Services)

As the Vice President (Corporate Services), Rowena is a member of the senior leadership team. Her portfolio includes responsibility for the following sections: International Student Programs, Technology Park, Human Resources, Commercial Services, Planning, Quality and Review, Marketing and Public Relations, Legal and Secretariat. The Secretariat section involves a broad spectrum of functions including providing staff support to the University Council and various committees of University Council.

Previous Employment

Rowena has been University Solicitor since 1994, Secretary to Council since 1997 and more recently was Head Legal and Secretariat.

Prior to working with the University of Ballarat, Rowena worked in private legal practice as a solicitor.

Rowena holds the degrees of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Jurisprudence from Monash University. She was admitted to practice as barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. Rowena holds a current practising certificate and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
