UB Tec
UB Tec is an alternative option for Year 11 and 12 hands-on learners aged 16-19 years. Over one year, students complete the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) at Intermediate or Senior level as well as a certificate level qualification in a TAFE course. Intermediate students can return to complete a second year at Senior level.
Students are enrolled at the University of Ballarat and benefit from training by experienced trade teachers in the TAFE environment. UB Tec is located at the SMB Campus in central Ballarat.
UB Tec students are interested in gaining an apprenticeship, employment or going on to further study. The flexibility of VCAL is ideal for School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
