About Us
Welcome to The Business School, a dual-sector school of the University of Ballarat. We provide our students with business program offerings ranging from short courses (TAFE) right through to Doctoral degrees (Higher Education). Formed in July 2011, The Business School integrates the former School of Business (Higher Education) and the School of Business Services (TAFE).
The Business School has a network of national and international partners in teaching and research including universities in China, Malaysia, France, Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom and the United States. We welcome your interest in the School and look forward to exploring with you our academic programs, teaching partnerships, research activities, and new business and academic opportunities.
All of our programs are offered at the University's Ballarat campuses. We offer small class sizes, real interaction, practical outcomes and an international orientation.

The School of Business (Higher Education Division)
Now known as the The Business School - Higher Education Division, the former School of Business is located at the Mt Helen Campus of the University of Ballarat and offers higher education programs. We have a distinguished teaching capability and a rapidly developing research profile which supports our academic programs and collaborations, so that we are responsive to regional, national and international issues. We offer programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The School of Business Studies (TAFE Division)
Located at the SMB campus of the University of Ballarat, the School of Business Services, now known as The Business School - TAFE Division.
Providing training, assessment and consultancy services across a range of disciplines relevant to the corporate and public sectors.
To do this we have a team of highly qualified trainers, assessors and consultants who combine first level experience in modern business processes with the ability to develop specialised programs and services giving business and graduates a competitive edge.
Research Centres
The Business School hosts a research centre of national significance - the Centre for Regional Innovation and Competitiveness (CRIC). Our centre reflects the history and strength of the University and it's engagement with regional communities.
