Secondary School Transition Project

Following on from our successful visits to Secondary Schools in previous years, we look forward to once again visiting Year 12 students as part of our Secondary Schools Transition Program. Planning for the 2012 visits is well underway and we invite your School to participate.
The Secondary School Transition Program is part of our student support program here at UB, aimed at assisting current Year 12 students with the transition between secondary school and university. UB would like to conduct a program with your secondary school to provide information regarding:
  • Overview of programs offered at UB & career pathways
  • Accommodation options
  • Social Support
  • Transition issues (including information about UB's Mentor Program)

It is also intended that this program will include discussion with previous student/s from your school's area, now attending UB, about what TAFE and University life is like. The main focus of this program is the transition between secondary and tertiary education and we are hoping to reach as many of your Year 12 students as we can.
