Coming to Australia

Airport Pick-up

After you touch down at Melbourne's international airport look out for the UB representative who will meet and greet you with a big smile and a friendly "G'day mate". Pack your bags onto the UB bus and your on your way to Ballarat.

Accommodation

Your accommodation will be pre-booked at one of the universities many modern student based housing. Your choices range from on-campus accommodation, for example, at the picturesque and bush-land setting of the Mt. Helen campus, to city based, off-campus housing. Either way sharing your accommodation with Australian and other international students will be a great way to make friends for life.

Special Orientation

Before commencing classes you can enjoy a special orientation that UB has designed just for Exchange and Study Abroad students. This will ensure your transition to your new Australian way of life is as easy as possible and that you gain the maximum from your time spent down-under. We cover topics such as health, academic differences, study skills, enrollments and cultural characteristics.

Social Activities

UB has an active social program for its international students. Activities include social dinners, bbq's, cinema and theatre nights, city and country excursions, surfing and sports activities. In addition, the University's Student Association offers regular social and sporting activities.
