The University provides a range of support services and facilities for all students.
Counselling Service
The University Counselling Service is free, confidential
and voluntary. Counsellors help students with:
- personal skills such as motivation, time
management, exam preparation, oral presentations,
working in groups;
- understanding the way the University works,
interpreting ‘official language’, knowing who to ask
about what;
- dealing with difficult personal situations.
Muslim Prayer Room
A new, fully refurbished Muslim Prayer Room is now available at the University of Ballarat. For more information contact the International Student Programs office.
Unijobs
Unijobs is a part time employment service funded by
the Student Association at the Mt Helen campus to
assist students to find work to support their studies. A
jobs noticeboard is also provided outside the Student

However, part-time work is not
guaranteed and international students should not
depend on finding part-time work to supplement their
income or to fund their studies.
Careers and Work Placement
The Graduate Careers Officer is available to assist
students during their course, especially during their final
year, with careers advice and work placement. A
Careers Fair is held in March to enable final year
students to meet potential employers on campus.
