Corporate Information Services (CIS) designs, develops, manages, integrates and enhances databases and information systems for the University and its customers.
Systems analysis is a major strength of the CIS team. We have extensive experience with a range of programming languages, database engines and operating systems. We pride ourselves on personalised service to meet specific requirements.
The primary task of the CIS team is to manage the University's major and complex finance, personnel and student systems. These are Oracle Databases and run on Unix systems. Maintenance of hardware (DEC Unix and VMS) is an important aspect of the CIS team's work. Additionally, CIS provides support and documentation to assist in Project Management.
The CIS team designs, develops and manages database and information systems for University and external customers. As part of this role we also maintain systems and host systems on our servers. CIS also supports specialist database users to manage and enhance their stand-alone or local information systems.
