Equity and Financial Aid Scholarships

The UB Equity and Financial Aid Scholarship program includes Commonwealth Scholarships (for Indigenous students only) and UB Financial Aid Scholarships.

In order to be eligible for a UB Financial Aid or Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarship in 2013, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • must be enrolled as a Higher Education Commonwealth supported student;
  • must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Australian Resident or holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa;
  • must be able to demonstrate low socio-economic status and financial disadvantage;
  • must be studying full-time (or have exceptional circumstances for not studying full-time);
  • must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, or the FAST program; and
  • must be Indigenous where the scholarships are specifically for Indigenous students.

Applications

Students who applied through VTAC in 2012 will be in the first round applications and will receive notification before Census Day (31 March) whether you have been successful or not.

Second round applications will open in April 2013 - no date has been set at this time.
