Communication Standards Guide
One logo, one vision
The University of Ballarat has moved very rapidly through its approach to marketing to establish a single identity so that the many successes and proposals from various parts are aggregated into a single overarching identity. This means that at any one time the entire University benefits from the engagement of our staff and students in our communities irrespective of the "home" School/Section of the University.
A key to our more prominent identity is the use of our logo as the single graphic element which, when used universally, establishes the consistent visual identity for the entire organisation. Our logo carries significant value in being recognised by the many diverse external audiences as "University of Ballarat". Using the logo also ensures that the correct name of the University appears on all communication.
Communication Standards Guide
The Communication Standards Guide is another critical element to facilitate visual consistency for the University of Ballarat. The Guide has sections including:
| UB Logo and Coat of Arms | Website and PowerPoint |
| University Colours | Stationery |
| Fonts, text and writing style | Layout systems |
| Document Management | Brochures and Publications |
| Word-processed documents | Newspaper Advertisements |
Developed over several months, in consultation with internal and external stakeholders, the Communication Standards Guide as of now is operational. It sets out the standards for communication by all members of the University.
It is accepted some adjustment will be made as feedback is received. Please make sure you refer to this website regularly as it will display in PDF format the agreed Communication Standards Guide at that time. Feedback is welcomed and can be e-mailed to marketing@ballarat.edu.au.
