About the University of Ballarat


The University of Ballarat is situated in regional Victoria, Australia. The University of Ballarat is Australia's only regional multi-sector University. It has a higher education section, a vocational education section and a technical college. Founded in 1870, it is the oldest continuous provider of vocational education in Australia. It is an excellent exemplar of modern educational practice, with an outstanding technology infrastructure and extensive community and business links both nationally and internationally. The University has a student population of over 22,000 (July 2007). It provides educational and teaching programs from apprenticeships, certificates and diplomas to degrees and post graduate qualifications, including graduate certificates and diplomas, post graduate diplomas, masters and doctorates.
