What is Disability Discrimination?

Disability discrimination is where a person is treated unfairly or harassed because of their disability.

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) makes discrimination on the ground of a person's disability against the law in some cases. The DDA applies everywhere in Australia and is looked after by the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC).
