Mentor Information
The University of Ballarat has recognised the importance of providing additional support to students
during their first year at university. The student mentor program has been designed to assist students
in making the transition between previous studies and studying at university.
Mentors are second or third year students (and may have attended UB for more than three years, for example,
combined degree students finishing their studies) who have undergone an intensive two day training program
designed and coordinated by the Student Learning Support Coordinator. The formal Transition period lasts
from Weeks 1 to 6.
Please note that to become a mentor you must first register with Unijobs.
