Each year, the School of Behavioural & Social Sciences & Humanities offers:
PhD Scholarship 2009
Applications are being invited for a
PhD Scholarship commencing early 2009 in the School of Behavioural and Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Ballarat. The
scholarship is funded through an Australian Research Council Linkage grant for a project titled ‘The Impact of the Introduction of Electronic Gaming Machines on Communities: Health and Wellbeing Consequences’. The Victoria Local Governance Association, supported by five local councils, is the industry partner for this project. The closing date for applications is 15 December 2008.

Aboriginal and Torres Street Islander Scholarships
BSSH aims to encourage and support an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
to undertake a course offered within the School.

Fee Assistance for International Students in Adversity
The School may provide Fee Assistance funding to support a student from another country to undertake an undergraduate degree level course of study within the School.

Bursaries and Book Vouchers
The School may provide a bursary to students undertaking the BA (Honours) and BA (Psychology) (Honours) courses. The bursaries, valued at $500.00 per teaching period for full-time students, and $250 per teaching period for part-time students are awarded based on academic merit,
however some consideration is given to financial circumstances
