Postgraduate Research SchemeThe Higher Degree by Research students enrolled in the School of Behavioural and Social Sciences and Humanities are encouraged to promote their research to the local, national and international communities. The Postgraduate Research Scheme for students has recently been reviewed and revised to reflect the changes to University of Ballarat policies with regards to financing and funding. Research Funds are provided to assist postgraduate students to present at conferences, conduct research and to publish their work in journals. Information on these funds is provided on this web site. If you have access to the Mt Helen campus, come and visit the postgraduate notice boards in H building, and view the students' work. Students are able to purchase stationery, print cartridges, additional photocopying, small travel costs. Full time students (PhD, Professional Doctorate and Masters by Research) are awarded $200 per annum, these funds do not accumulate from year to year of candidature. Part time students (PhD, Professional Doctorate and Masters by Research) are awarded $100 per annum, these funds do not accumulate from year to year of candidature. Students wishing to purchase items from their maintenance fund are to see the Administration Officer (Research), Ms Fiona Hodder to organise the purchase of stationery, printer cartridges etc. The University of Ballarat preferred supplier for stationery is OfficeMax - www.officemax.com.au, students are able search for products and costings through this website. For photocopy costs and travel costs please retain your receipt for reimbursement through the University of Ballarat Petty Cash system - the maximum amount for reimbursement is $50. Please note equipment such as printers for home, iPods for interviews, other recording devices etc will NOT be funded. |
