Information
The Band encourages
young people to join its ranks as learners.
We are very fortunate
to have so much expertise in the Band with several ex-pipe
majors, one ex-drum sergeant and an ex-world champion
Drummer and Drum Sergeant in Mr Alex McCormick, all
willing to pass on their knowledge as tutors to our
learners.
Les
Hardy has taken up the challenging role of Coordinator
of the learner pipers, together with the help of several
senior members of the Band. They currently have a huge
job of teaching 16 young people the pipes. You will
find Les at the
Band Hall - Reid Court Brown Hill every Monday
night at 7:00pm running individual classes, and at the
Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts, Howitt St Wendouree
on Wednesday nights starting at 7:00pm.
