Welcome
to the University of Ballarat Pipe Band
Our
Band has a history dating back more than 100 years.
The Band is made up of three former Ballarat Pipe Bands;
the Ballarat Highland, Ballarat Ladies and Ballarat
Scottish. All three Bands have a rich history of success,
both on and off the competition field.

The
amalgamation of the three Bands resulted in the
current City of Ballarat Pipe Band being formed
in 1993. In 1995 the band changed it's name to the
University of Ballarat Pipe Band Inc. due to formal
agreement with the University of Ballarat. The Pipe
Band is fortunate to have the support of one of
Australia's most progressive and exciting educational
institutions. |
The
Band has been very successful on the competition field,
recently taking out the Championships in Grade 3 at
the Daylesford Comp in both elements (pipes)whilst the
drummers took out equal 1st with Hawthorn. Congratulations
to all on a fine effort.
The
involvement with the University of Ballarat has been
very successful and enables the Band to award scholarships
to people within the Band, or to encourage pipers and
drummers to study at the University of Ballarat and
play with our Band.
