Research Highlights
The Research and Graduate Studies Office has contributed
significantly to this improved performance by introducing a range of data
management and quality assurance initiatives including: full and accurate
reporting of all publications data to DEST, providing detailed feedback on
all research grant applications, implementing ResearchMaster, and improved
performance reporting.
Some of the University's successful research projects are:
- DP0665569; Em/Prof John Smyth; Individual, Institutional and Community 'Capacity Building' in a Cluster of Disadvantaged Schools and their Community; School of Education.
- DP0556685; Dr Musa Mammadov; Constrained and stable solutions of nonlinear and semismooth equations; School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences.
- DP0666061; Dr Adil Bagirov; Derivative free algorithms for large scale nonsmooth and global optimization and their applications; School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences.
- DP0450294; Prof Mirka Miller; Improving Upper and Lower Bounds on the Order of Large Graphs under Degree and Distance constraints; School of Information Te4chnology and Mathematical Sciences.
- DP0450151; Prof Alex Rubinov (A/Prof Vaithilingam Jeyakumar CI); Necessary and sufficient conditions for global minimum in multi-extremal global continuous optimization; School of Information Te4chnology and Mathematical Sciences.
This is only a sample of the wonderful success the University of Ballarat has experienced in obtaining research funding for its quality projects.
