Student Evaluation of the Postgradaute Program (SEPP)

SEPP (Student Evaluation of   Postgraduate Program) is a questionnaire consisting of a series of statements which research postgraduate students are asked to respond to. Responses to these statements will provide important information to enable the University improve the supervisory experience of students.

  • SEPP will not identify the student or supervisors.  The only identifying detail will be the School. A more detailed explanation of the purpose of the SEPP survey will be developed by the Dean of Graduate Studies.
  •  The SEPP survey process will be separate from the Progress Report process.  RAGSO will send surveys directly out to student in June each year. Students will send completed surveys back to the Dean of Graduate Studies (c/- RAGSO). This will ensure that data are available for inclusion in the RRTMP in August.
  • RAGSO will be responsible for analysing data and sending a report back to each Head of School and School Research, Research Higher Degrees & Ethics Coordinator. The RHD Committee will also receive a copy of the report.
  • The Dean of Graduate Studies to review all individual surveys and School reports and determine appropriate action. Dean of Graduate Studies will report to RHD Committee on action taken.

The official University of Ballarat policy which governs the operation of SEPP is available by clicking here.

There are no forms to download for SEPP as hard copies of the required question and answer sheets are dynamically generated from a database depending on student numbers and load consumed during candidature.
