Part Postgraduate Research Scholarships
A number of Part Postgraduate Research Scholarships (PPRS) will be available each year. Each scholarship will carry a stipend of $10,003.50 and be tenurable for a period of up to three years (for PhD and Professional Doctorate candidature) or 1.5 years (for Masters candidature).
Schools may provide additional support to candidates awarded a Part Postgraduate Research Scholarship.
The following additional comments should be noted:
- The term of the proposed new scholarships will be limited to 3 years (without the possibility of extension).
- These scholarships are only available to Australian citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants awarded a part scholarship will also receive a course fees exemption scholarship.
- Part scholarships are restricted to full-time applicants.
Applicants will need to indicate at the time of application for a scholarship if they are willing to accept a part scholarship. Schools will be required to indicate prior to the process of allocating scholarships whether they are prepared to provide additional financial support or a teaching assistantship and at what level of support (based on the applicant's background).
