The following Masters degrees are offered by the University of Ballarat:

- Master of Arts
- Master of Business
- Master of Education
- Master of Engineering Science
- Master of Human Movement
- Master of Computing
- Master of Nursing
- Master of Science
- Master of Mathematical Sciences
The Masters Degree by Research clause in Regulation 5.1 states the degree will be awarded on the basis of a candidate having demonstrated command of the knowledge and skills pertinent to the area of investigation and having demonstrated a critical appreciation and understanding of the relationship of his or own work to that of others.
