Regulation 5.1 which covers the administration of UB Research Higher Degrees    
Miscellaneous Request Form    
The MRF: Use this form for all administration matters relating to your candidature, apart from Semester Leave (more than 6 months). This includes changing topics, supervisors, requesting extensions to scholarships or candidature, taking holidays, and for any other matter which has not been resolved by discussions with your Supervisor, SR,RHDEC appointee, or Head of School.
If you are applying for Leave due to Medical Reasons, then a medical certificate must be provided with the form.
HDR Student Leave Absentee Form    
Requesting Leave: All applications for Leave from Studies must be approved by your School. Fill out the MRF, and obtain all signatures (approval) prior to submitting it to RAGSO. You will ALSO need to fill out a Leave Absentee Form (for short periods of leave eg annual leave, sick leave, holidays etc), which gives us the specifics of your request. If you are applying for Leave due to Medical Reasons, then a medical certificate must be provided with the form. If you wish to take a Leave from Studies for 6 or 12 months (a full semester or year), then please click here to be taken to the Student Admin Website form.

Application for Enrolment to a Masters Degree by Research (includes referee report)

Honours Equivalence Application Form (for the provision of evidence of ‘Equivalence of/Substitute for’ entry qualifications)    
Honours Equivalence: If you do not meet the entry requirements for a Higher Degree by Research (eg with a Research Honours degree), then you will be required to provide evidence of "Honours Equivalence". Please fill out the Honours Equivalence application form (above) and return it, and all supporting information, along with your application for entry into a Higher Degree by Research
Conversion from Masters Candidature to Confirmed PhD Candidature    
Student - Principal Supervisor Agreement on Candidature Arrangements

It is expected that the Principal Supervisor and student will complete this document and append a copy to the student’s first Progress Report. Some parts of the Agreement may change over the course of candidature. Any changes will be agreed to by the student and the Principal Supervisor.
   
Minimum Resources and other Support for Research Higher Degree Students    
Intention to Submit form required one month prior to submission of thesis/portfolio.

RAGSO will not accept the 'Intention to Submit Application Form' or the 'Abstract' information unless the Abstract is provided on the approved template.

The abstract must be the final version that appears in your thesis/portfolio. (The use of Acronyms in the abstract should be avoided). You are required to submit a hard copy of the Intention to Submit and the Abstract, AND email a copy of the abstract (on the template) to Elanor Clinch.
