RMEWeb: use your Novell login and password. This should allow you access from anywhere.
Students will need to use the details used to access their student account via the University computer network. When first granted access to the network it was your Student ID as a login name and your first initial and date of birth as a password. However if this no longer works, please contact the Service Desk for a password reset. As RMEWeb uses the Novell login name and password, RAGSO is unable to test it for you unless ytou supply your login name and password. You can reset your password once testing is complete.
PORTIA: use your Novell login and password. This should allow you access from anywhere.
User will need to select the appropriate role from the login screen. Currently the system is setup for supervisors and students. Students will need to use the details used to access their student account via the University computer network.
RMEWin: for staff that have access, login via Citrix. You can get into Citrix via: http://citrix.ballarat.edu.au/ You need to login with your Citrix login and password, available from the Service Desk. Then Citrix opens and shows you all the applications that are available to you, such as ResearchMaster. You click the ResearchMaster icon and then login with your RMEWin login and password. A new password can be obtained from Stephen Chambers.
Current Probelms: Some of you may have a problem logging in to both PORTIA and RMEWeb at
the moment, because your person code in ResearchMaster doesn't match your Novell login. I can change that, so if you cannot get in, please email me to let me know.
However, for some of you, the person code field is not long enough to take your full login name. My login is abbreviated as schamber where I lose the 's' of Chambers and it works. Your's may be longer than that and so not work. I have contacted ResearchMaster about this issue and they have advised that it will be fixed in the release that comes with RQF module, which is due soon.
Please direct operational questions to Stephen Chambers
