Biography

Steve has had industrial experience in health and safety as well as academic experience in Universities in the United Kingdom and Australia. Steve has a Master of Applied Science degree in Occupational Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine at the University of London, a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Safety from the University of Aston in Birmingham and a Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Ballarat.

Steve was Associate Professor and Director of VIOSH Australia at the University of Ballarat until June 2001. VIOSH Australia is the University of Ballarat’s Centre for Teaching and Research in Occupational Health and Safety. Steve has been with VIOSH Australia from 1985.

Steve is a Fellow of the Safety Institute of Australia and Editor of the Safety Institute of Australia’s National journal “Safety In Australia”.
