Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
The Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety provides the opportunity for Certificate IV graduates to further develop their technical knowledge and skills.
The Diploma will be delivered via a similar model to the Certificate IV in OHS i.e. two weeks on-campus followed by approximately 11 months to complete the required assessment activities.
The delivery model involves two weeks of daytime lectures conducted in Ballarat - the coursework component of the program - in either January or July. Tasks and assessment, which take place over the ensuing months, will have a strong workplace focus, and require a combination of workplace assessment and the completion of a folio. The course work is completed by students in their own time, without the need to attend further classes.
Students have access to an online environment that provides access to resources, supports student interaction and enables the submission of assessments.
Presenters understand the challenges that face students studying part-time or returning to study and provide a supportive and helpful learning environment. They have high level qualifications in the OHS field and in-depth practical experience across multiple industries. This course encourages students to work together, share information and solutions, and build solid OHS networks.
The Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is accredited by the Australian National Training Authority, via the TAFE Division of the University of Ballarat.
