OHS Management System Auditor Training
Quality Society of Australasia OHS Auditor Training Certificate is a
five-day program delivered at a venue in Melbourne. The course can also
be delivered to corporate groups in their own workplaces.
The Program format allows participants to gain the tools and techniques to:
- understand the key elements of effective OHS management
- recognise the role of auditing
- select and apply different audit tools
- plan and conduct audits
- identify opportunities for improvement
- prioritise and sell the recommendations
The Program also allows participants to:
- gain RPL credits toward post-graduate OHS qualifications at the University of
Ballarat
- meet the training requirements for QSA OHS Auditor Certification
Program Outline
Days one and two comprise interactive presentations that focus on the tools and
techniques for effective auditing. Topics include:
- Effective OHS management – the critical ingredients
- The role of auditing in improving OHS performance
- Different audit tools/structures – AS/NZS 4801, SafetyMAP, ISRS, NSCA 5 Star
- Selecting the appropriate audit tool for you
- Planning the audit
- Conducting the audit
- Auditing skills – interviewing techniques, communication processes, document
verification
- Writing and presenting the Audit Report
During days three and four participants work in syndicates and conduct their
own audit of our virtual company – reviewing documentation, interviewing
management and staff to assess the level of awareness and implementation. Audit
reports are presented and reviewed on day five.
