  • Non Invasive Measurement of Electrical Power Systems HV and LV.
  • Condition Monitoring of Vibration and Industrial Noise.
  • Design of Discrete Linear and Digital Electronic Circuits and Systems

(Current research and consulting interests)

  • Development of agricultural wireless network FarmLAN ™ (Astec)
  • This project is nearing completion of the first commercial prototype which involves UHF radio transceiver control and automation of farm technology.
  • Batteries Centre for Excellence (in conjunction with Sinclair Knight, Merz)
  • This project was initiated by the Australian Defence, Battlespace Communications Operations Group (B.C.O.G.) Battery technologies include Lithium Ion, Lithium Sulfur Dioxide and Magnesium.
  • High voltage Instrumentation A novel and inexpensive method of measuring voltage and current on HV power lines without the need for expensive isolation such as that of CT’s and PT’s
  • Industrial machine condition monitoring and control
  • Signal collection and processing everything from Frogs and Bats to machines and noise.
  • Several Industrial and Agricultural microcontroller projects.

  • Development of Fine Fuel Moisture Meter in conjunction with Dept of Conservation and Natural Resources
  • (Device currently in production)
  • Design of Barrier for Handicapping Harness Racing Mobile Starts with Dr. S.Simmons, (Harness Racing Victoria)
  • High Voltage Protection Instrumentation (replacement for CT and PT’s)
  • Portable Device for measuring the accuracy of CT’s in line.
  • Design of L.E.D. based Variable message Signs
