Research in Food Science 

The Food Science group is actively involved in research in a number of areas including: 

  • Chemical and biochemical analysis of malt 
  • Novel technologies in the brewing process 
  • Predictive microbiology 
  • Lipid degradation, natural antioxidants, tree nuts 
  • Fermented foods

Honours and Post-graduate research 
Research programs including B.App.Sc (Hons), Masters of Applied Science and PhD degrees can be undertaken in Food Science. A variety of projects are available.
