The School of Science and Engineering has been a proud supporter and sponsor of the Science Talent Search for several years.

The STS is an annual competition for Victorian primary and secondary students where students can choose from a number of ways to showcase their scientific skills - photography, experimentation, model building, creative writing, game development and computer programming are examples of the categories of competition.

Through the Science Talent Search, University of Ballarat bursaries have been awarded to students from schools in Ararat, Ballarat, Bendigo, Colac, Gisborne, Hamilton, Horsham, Melbourne, Melton, Mildura and Werribee.

At the Annual STS Exhibition Day in late October, hundreds of students, many accompanied by proud teachers, family and friends gather from the length and breadth of Victoria to share the excitement of viewing exhibits and receiving awards. It is an absolute delight to witness the enthusiasm and multiple talents of participants and to be a part of this day.

The University of Ballarat would like to congratulate all participants - whether they are bursary recipients or not. Its great to let people know what you can do and "have a go".
