Ballarat Town Hall, Sturt StreetBallarat is located 110 kms north-west of Melbourne in the Goldfields region of Victoria, and with a population of around 90,000 is Victoria's largest inland city. Ballarat is rich in history, with plenty of original 19th century architecture, and is home to Sovereign Hill, an outdoor museum depicting the goldfields of the 1850s. Ballarat also hosts a fine array of restaurants and Accommodation to suit every taste and budget.

Weather
Ballarat in December is usualy warm to hot, with an average temperature of around 20°C. However, Ballarat is known for its unexpected weather, so it is best to come prepared. You may like to check current weather conditions, provided by the Bureau of Meteorology.
