Centre for Informatics and Applied Optimization (CIAO)
CIAO carries out basic research in the broad area of Informatics and Optimization. The work in Optimization focuses on the development of new numerical optimization algorithms, as well as the application of these techniques to problems in data mining, telecommunications networks, engineering, computational chemistry and decision support in many areas such as health and business.
