Conference websites
CeCC can assist UB clients
in establishing online services to support the promotion and hosting of
conferences or any other event. Conference organisers often have similar
requirements when establishing online services to support their event. Site
information generally includes an overview of the conference and information on
the key participants, the call for papers, information about the location,
registration requirements and sponsors. With the conference websites that CeCC
has developed, other features have included online registrations, online
payments and online proceedings. CeCC also has experience with creating CD-ROM
versions of proceedings or of the complete website for distribution to
participants and so the conference organiser can maintain a permanent record of
the conference website. Examples of conference websites developed by CeCC are
provided below.

CRIC Cluster Conference 2005www.cric.com.au/cric_cluster/
The CRIC Cluster Conference website was established by the Centre for Regional Innovation and Competitiveness (CRIC). This website included information about the conference program, location, accommodation, travel information and general conference downloads. The website also includes administration facilities, which assigned moderators can use to manage the organisation, listing and publication of conference papers.

Future Search www.cric.com.au/futuresearch/
The Future Search Training Workshops were hosted by CRIC during 2005. The website established to support the event featured information about the workshop programs, online registration and payment facilities, accommodation information and downloads. During the event a large number of digital photographs were taken. These photos where then published in the Photo Galleries section of the event website with access restricted to attendees.

The 16th Annual SEAANZ Conference
www.cric.com.au/seaanz/
During 2003 CRIC also hosted the 16th Annual SEAANZ’s conference, which was acclaimed as a great success. The website which CeCC established to support the event featured online registration and payment facilities, a detailed conference program, conference news items and downloads. CRIC Team Members maintained the website using the CeCC Content Management System which allows authorised users to easily update the content across all areas of their website via the Internet.

Online Surveys and Results Reporting
CeCC can provide support services and access to the open source phpESP survey generator for the design and implementation of online surveys (ESP: Easy Survey Package). This program can support non-technical users in rapidly generating quality online surveys. With support from CeCC a number of clients have been able to use this product to good effect. The phpESP survey generator is not suitable for all situations as it has some restrictions in relation to the type and layout of questions that users can include into their surveys. It will, however, be suitable for many situations. For more information regarding phpESP visit: www.cecc.com.au/cecc/online_surveys.php

School or Department Websites within UB Framework
CeCC has supported a number of Schools and Departments in redeveloping their websites and introducing online services to support new UB initiatives. By working closely with the UB Web Services Team, we have been able to achieve a number of enhancements, particularly in relation to menu structures and website navigation. A good example of this is the Learning and Teaching at UB site, developed by CeCC for the Vice Chancellors Office.
