L&T portfolio philosophy

The School of Business established a formal Learning and Teaching portfolio in January 2007. In the L&T portfolio we aim to offer opportunities for professional development and support for staff to enhance their teaching and professional skills. We value and promote research into aspects of learning and teaching in the tertiary environment. We aspire to enhanced teaching practice through providing mechanisms for critical reflection, review and evaluation.

The L&T Portfolio is particularly proud of our L&T Teaching Awards and the L&T Innovation Funds, introduced in 2008. The portfolio has an active committee, conducts regular seminars and staff development activities, coordinates the development and production course specific study guides for students, sponsors research by staff into learning and teaching, and produces a regular newsletter "Learning and Teaching Matters".
