Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research) at CQUniversity
Professor Kyd is Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research). She has been at CQuniversity since 2006, initially as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation). Prior to her appointment at CQuniversity, Professor Kyd held appointments at the University of Canberra as Head of the National Centre for Forensic Studies, Director of the Gadi Research Centre for Medical and Health Research, and Head of the Canberra Centre for Mucosal Immunology.
Professor Kyd is a Director on the Board of the Australian Institute of Policy and Science and was a recipient of a Tall Poppy Award in 2002. She has a B.Sc(Hons) from the University of NSW, a Dip. Ed from Sydney and a PhD from the University of Newcastle. Professor Kyd is internationally recognized for her respiratory infectious disease and vaccine research publishing extensively in international journals and holds a number of patents as a result of this research. She is still active in research, currently holding NH&MRC and Industry funding. She has held international Editorial roles and is a Director on several Boards, including the CRC for Rail Innovation.

Kylie has advised the higher education sector for over ten years on a range of commercial and regulatory matters, including compliance with individual university Acts, statutes and regulations, the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (Cth) and the Vocational Education and Training Act 1990 (Vic).
Kylie also has specialist intellectual property expertise and has advised the higher education and public research sector on the development of intellectual property policies, the establishment of research centres and research funding arrangements and intellectual property ownership issues.
Kylie is an active member of the firm's higher education client service team and is a consistent contributor to our Higher Education Focus newsletter. She has published articles and presented seminars on public sector research issues and the regulation of university activities.

Founding Partner. Mike has over 20 years experience in brand advertising, direct marketing and digital. Prior to founding CUBED Communications, he was Head of Direct & Digital Marketing at M&C Saatchi - where he was instrumental in winning Agency of the Year, creative and effectiveness awards as well as a Best in Show Diamond ECHO Award. Before that, he was the youngest board member at Ogilvy London and worked for the UK Agency of the Decade, HHCL & Partners.
In 2010 Mike was awarded the highest accolade ADMA presents to an individual for their excellence in direct marketing and contribution to the industry - ADMA's direct marketer of the year.

Chief Executive Officer of TAFE Directors Australia
Martin Riordan is Chief Executive Officer of TAFE Directors Australia, the peak incorporated body representing Australian TAFE and technology institutes.
Martin Riordan was appointed to head up 'TDA' in December 2005, having previously worked at executive levels in vocational education, and communications, in Australia and through Asia-Pacific. Immediately prior to his appointment, Martin was an executive with Federal Education (DEST), and was a guest lecturer in communications at Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE NSW.
Martin was awarded an Australian American Fulbright Professional Scholarship in 2009, to review leadership skill sets, and innovation in the American Community College system. His BA (Hons) undergraduate qualification was gained at Macquarie University, and MBA from University of Technology Sydney. Martin has enjoyed further study at TAFE Institutes: Asian language studies at Sydney Institute of TAFE NSW, and information technology at Canberra Institute of Technology.
