Professor Frank StagnittiThe University of Ballarat is proud to combine research and teaching that contributes to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of our region. Importantly, our teaching is informed by research. UB has moved, in a comparatively short time, to being research active – a credit to our staff, students and UB leaders.
At UB we’re committed to keeping research at the heart of our University. You are welcome to download our current Research Plan (PDF,176 KB).
UB is a member of Regional Universities Network (RUN) which comprises six of the nation’s regional universities. The DVCR and PVCRs in this network meet on a regular basis to develop strategies to improve research within regional universities and across RUN.
The CRN's Self- sustaining Regions Research and Innovation Initiative explores new ways of strengthening regional “well-being” and driving regional rejuvenation.
CeCC research focuses in areas including the digital economy, knowledge management, eResearch, spatial mapping and data interoperability.
