Ms Rowena Coutts
Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor
Rowena Coutts was appointed to the role of Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University on 1 January 2010. Rowena is a member of the senior leadership team and her portfolio includes responsibility for:
- Center for University Partnerships (CUP);
- Business Development, including the University Technology Park;
- Human Resources;
- Finance;
- Commercial Services;
- Public Relations and Alumni; and
- Legal, Council & Compliance.
Previous Employment
Rowena has been University Solicitor since 1994, Secretary to Council since 1997, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Governance & External) and Vice-President (Corporate Services).Prior to working with the University of Ballarat, Rowena worked in private legal practice as a solicitor.
Rowena holds the degrees of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Jurisprudence from Monash University. She was admitted to practice as barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. Rowena holds a current practising certificate and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
