Confidentiality

Our service is confidential. In general, nothing that you say to a health professional will be disclosed to a third party without your consent.

The exceptions to this rule are where the health professional's work is reviewed by a supervisor, (who is also bound by confidentiality), or where the health professional believes that your life or someone else's is at risk. In the latter case, the health professional will tell you what they intend to do; they will probably contact other health professionals and may want to speak to your family.

If you ask the health professional to write or speak to someone on your behalf, they will only disclose what is necessary to achieve your goal.

The health professionals welcome any questions you may have about confidentiality.
