Important Information
'Non Year 12 applicants' describes a wide range of people, such as:
- mature aged people,
- part tertiary completion,
- applicants who have not completed VCE.
Even though you may not be very old, you are considered a mature age student if you have been away from
secondary school for more than two years.

The idea of coming back to the classroom can be quite challenging, and if you are thinking about retuning to
study, you probably have a number of questions that you would like answered such as:
- Which course would suit me?
- Will I have to study full time or can I study part time?
- I left school quite a few years ago. How can I be sure I am ready to return?
- How can I prepare myself for returning to study?
- How much will study actually cost me?
- What sort of financial support is available?
If these sound like some of the questions you have, then you are not alone. The University of Ballarat has support
services available to assist you in your decision making both before you start studying, and whilst you are a student.
Student Recruitment staff can provide you with information regarding the many courses available, application procedures
and fees. The staff in Student Development are available to ease your concerns about returning to study and to provide
financial advice, welfare advice, Student Learning Support and Disability support. For further information, call
