Information for Secondary School Teachers

School Visits

This year the University of Ballarat is developing a pilot program aimed at assisting secondary school students with the transition between secondary and tertiary education. It is intended that this program will include information and discussion about:

  • Course & career pathways
  • TAFE & Higher Ed. course options
  • Transition issues (including information about UB's Mentor Program)

It is also intended that this program will include discussion with previous student/s from your school's area, now attending UB, about what TAFE and University life is like.

Given that the main focus of this program is the transition between secondary and tertiary education, we are hoping to reach as many Year 12 students as we can. However, should it not be possible to conduct this information session with your Year 12 students, you may want to consider running this program with students of another year level (Year 11 or 10 students).
