Anti-plagiarism system (Turnitin)

During 2007, the University intends to make the online plagiarism prevention system Turnitin available to all students. A statement such as the following one will then appear in unit descriptions:

In order to verify the originality of assessment tasks, students are required to submit written assignments to the unit coordinator both as hard copy and electronically only after the assignment has been checked for plagiarism by the Turnitin software.

Information on requirements and how to use Turnitin will be available on the UB Library website http://www.ballarat.edu.au/aasp/is/library). The URL link to Turnitin is http://www.ballarat.edu.au/aasp/is/library/resources/turnitin/
