Submitted work should conform to the format, structure and arrangement specified for each particular assignment. Guidelines for acceptable standards in this area can be found in the Format and structure section. Written work should be prepared using a word processor and submitted in printed form, unless otherwise specified. Guidelines for acceptable standards in this area, including recommendations for the treatment of specific formatting issues, can be found in the Layout and appearance section. Academic work should be written in clear and concise English. All written work should follow a logical structure, and care should be taken with grammar, punctuation and spelling. Guidelines for acceptable standards in this area can be found in the Written expression section. All work should demonstrate an understanding of the practice and principles of citation. Citation (also known as referencing) is the process of (a) acknowledging that you have used another person's words, data or ideas in your work; and (b) providing information on that 'source' so that it can be identified. If you fail to acknowledge sources, you will be guilty of plagiarism. Guidelines for acceptable standards in this area can be found in the Citation section. |
