Second Semester...
What Now?

The mere fact that you are present at university today indicates that, by virtue of your own resourcefulness, you have managed to survive the previous semester. This feat in itself is a cause for celebration. Tertiary study at any level is very demanding and being allowed to proceed to the next level demonstrates that you have sufficient Independent Learning ability to succeed with higher education.

Congratulations and well done!

Moving to the next stage of your course gives you an opportunity to reflect on how things are going, particularly if your overall performance was below what you hoped.

The purpose of this study guide is to help you improve your ability to learn independently by realistically evaluating your previous performance and setting sensible goals for the second semester.
