Academic staff do not have specified working hours, although part-time staff would be expected to be on campus for a period equivalent to their fractional appointment, e.g. a 0.6 part-time academic would be expected to be on campus for a period totalling three working days per week.

General full time staff are required to work a 36.75 hour week. Most School and Portfolio administration offices are open 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.

TAFE Teachers Full-time Teachers employed under the TAFE Teachers' Award carry out professional duties for a minimum of 38 hours per week. Teachers are required to attend their work location for 30 hours per week.
