Welcome to ICT Networks & Infrastructure
The Networks and Infrastructure team develops and maintains the University of Ballarat's computer and communications network
infrastructure and ICT security.
To provide access to the University's courses, resources, services and support systems at all campuses, an extensive network
is maintained to link all sites. Over 100 production servers provide staff and students with File, Print, Email and Application
services across all the campuses. The core Network Operating Systems used are Netware, Microsoft and Linux.
To ensure the protection of the University’s information assets the team implements security policy. ICT Security is also
responsible for maintaining systems and other measures to minimize security breaches.
